Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality Installation Instructions
     

1.       Please put the CD in your CD drive.
 

2.       The setup should start automatically.  In the event that is does not, click on the start button on the taskbar.  Then go to My Computer.
In My Computer double click on your CD drive.  Double click on setup to begin the setup process.
 

3.       The welcome screen will appear. Click OK.
 

4.       A window will appear. Click the big button with the PC on it to start the installation.
 

5.       In the next window click “Continue” to choose a program group.
 

6.       A message saying the following will appear:

Installing Data Access Components…

Please wait a short while.
 

7.       A progress bar will appear in a short while, showing you the progress (%) of the installation.
 

8.       Whenever a message pops up asking you if you want to keep the existing file, click the “Yes” button.
 

9.       And whenever a message appears telling you that the file is in use, click the “Ignore” button.


A confirmation message might appear. Click “Yes”.

 

10.    When the installation is done, click OK.
 

11.    Now, click on the start button on the taskbar. Then go to My Computer. 

In My Computer double click on your CD drive. 
Copy the “MDB Files” folder and paste it into Program Files\DataTrac Software Solutions on your Local C Drive.
Rename this folder in the DataTrac Software Solutions folder to “Databases”.
 

12.    In the C:\Program Files\DataTrac Software Solutions directory, sent a shortcut of the SalesAnalysis.exe to the desktop and rename to “CMS Upload”.

13.    Double click on the shortcut you have just created.  The DataTrac Control Screen will appear.
 

14.    Click on the “Utilities” menu item at the top of the control screen. A drop down menu pops up.  Click “Show Load Data”.
You will see a “Load Data” button appearing in the bottom right corner of the control screen.
 

15.    Click on the “Load Data” button. For every area a message will appear asking you if you want to create the folder for it. Click “Yes” on all occasions.

16.    When done, click the “Utilities” menu item again. Then click “Show PE Allotment Areas”.
 

17.    To display the information for the relevant areas, click on the area you want information for.  A screen will appear. 
Click Erven to show the details.
